This marked the first instance in Ghana’s history where the team failed to secure a victory in any AFCON tournament, making it Ghana’s most disappointing AFCON campaign. “As the players reflect on our performance, we acknowledge the criticism and extend our apologies to the nation for not advancing to the next stage. We are very disappointed.”

“We acknowledge that we fell short of making our supporters proud, and we take full responsibility for that. Our AFCON campaign did not meet the standards. Regarding the goals conceded against Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique, it’s evident that luck was not on our side,” he further explained. The Black Stars are anticipated to return home today, with their upcoming challenge being the World Cup qualifiers.

ThankYou.
